Cash-pay, explained plainly

We do not bill insurance — and here is what that means for you.

No insurance needed

No claims are filed. Payment is due at the time of scheduling, by credit or debit card, so the price on this page is the price you pay.

A superbill on request

An itemized superbill is available on request, which you may submit to your plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.

HSA and FSA often eligible

Visits are frequently an eligible medical expense. Please confirm with your plan administrator before you book.

Under federal law, patients who are not using insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of care before scheduling. A written estimate is available on request.

Who we can see

Patients must be physically located in New Mexico or Colorado at the time of the appointment, subject to clinician licensure and telehealth requirements.

Some conditions cannot be safely evaluated by telehealth. The clinician may recommend an in-person exam, testing, or emergency care instead.

Cancellations

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel. Visits cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $50 fee. Missed appointments are subject to a $75 no-show fee.

If an emergency or unusual circumstance comes up, please contact the practice as soon as possible at 214-460-4669.

Telehealth is not emergency care

For sudden weakness or paralysis, facial drooping, difficulty speaking, loss of consciousness, seizure, or a sudden severe headache, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for a scheduled visit.

Pricing questions, answered

Why doesn’t the practice take insurance?

NeuroCare VirtualConnect currently operates as a cash-pay/self-pay practice. Payment is made directly by the patient, which keeps pricing transparent — you know the full cost before your appointment. Please contact the practice with any insurance questions.

Will my insurance reimburse me?

We don’t submit claims, but an itemized superbill is available on request. You may submit it to your carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement — contact your insurance company to ask about out-of-network benefits. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Patients who do not have insurance, or choose not to use it, may have rights under federal law to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of scheduled services. If actual billed charges are substantially higher, federal dispute-resolution protections may apply. Contact the practice for an estimate before receiving care.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Many eligible medical services can be paid using HSA or FSA funds. Eligibility depends on your particular plan, so please confirm with your HSA/FSA administrator.

Can medications be prescribed?

When clinically appropriate and legally permitted, medications may be prescribed as part of your treatment plan. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Can all neurological conditions be treated virtually?

No. Many neurological concerns can be evaluated or followed through telehealth, but some symptoms and conditions require an in-person neurological examination, diagnostic testing, or emergency evaluation. If so, we’ll recommend the appropriate next step.

Where must I be during my appointment?

You must be physically located in a jurisdiction where your NeuroCare VirtualConnect clinician is authorized to provide your care. You should be physically located in New Mexico or Colorado at the time of the appointment.

Ready when you are.

Request an appointment online in a few minutes, or reach the practice directly if you would rather talk to a person first.
